Aktuelles & Termine: what is happening locally

At a glance. "Aktuelles & Termine" is the shared page for what the organisations of your town publish — events and posts, strictly in chronological order. No algorithm decides what you see. Events can be added to your own calendar one by one or subscribed to as a town calendar. Organisations write their entries themselves — locali is neither an editorial desk nor an advertising platform.

For everyone: the "Aktuelles & Termine" page

You find it as its own entry in the main navigation — in the bar at the bottom on a phone (behind Mehr when there are many entries), in the side rail on a desktop. It is public — no sign-in required.

There are up to two areas:

  • Events — all upcoming events in town, grouped into Today, This week and Later.
  • Posts — what the organisations of your town write.

You can filter by district and category.

Not every hub shows both areas

Operators enable the two areas separately. If only one is active there are no tabs — you land in it directly. If both are off, the entry does not appear in the navigation at all. None of this affects organisations: their own pages and feeds work independently.

Reading and sharing an entry

Tapping an entry opens its own page — full headline, full text, images at a readable size. That page has an address of its own: you can copy it and pass it on, and whoever opens it lands on the entry itself rather than on a list they have to search.

Your device's back button returns you to the spot in the list you left, however far you had scrolled.

On a phone the filters sit behind the Filter button; whatever you set appears as small chips below it and can be removed there with a tap.

Strictly chronological — that is a promise

The order is purely by time. There is no popularity sorting, no recommendations, no paid placement and no public comments. How often an entry was viewed has no influence on where it stands.

Events on your phone

Two routes, depending on how much you want:

A single event

At the bottom of every event sits the calendar icon Add to calendar — the same button as everywhere else in locali. One tap and the event lands in your calendar app as a file — one-off, no subscription.

The whole town calendar

Subscribe to calendar sets up a real subscription: from then on, new events appear in your calendar app automatically, without you returning to the page.

Device How it works
iPhone / iPad Tap Add to calendar and confirm the prompt with "Subscribe".
Android (Google Calendar) Copy the calendar address, open calendar.google.com in a browser and add the calendar there via "From URL".
Outlook and others Copy the calendar address and add it in your calendar app as a subscribed calendar ("Internet calendar", "From URL").

Somebody else may set this up for you — the address is simply a link that can be passed on.

The same route exists per organisation: on an organisation page, the Events tab leads to a subscription for that organisation only.

Where an entry comes from

Some entries carry a discreet line, "über [address]" ("via [address]"). It means: this entry comes from the organisation's own feed — that is, from its website — and locali picked it up. The link leads to the original.

Entries without that line were written by the organisation directly in locali. Both stand side by side as equals; there is no two-class presentation.

The sender is always the organisation, never the individual person who wrote the text. A tick behind the name means verified: the hub has confirmed that this organisation publishes under its own name and its own responsibility. Tapping it explains that on the spot.

For organisations: publishing yourself

Any organisation with an active Owner can enable direct publishing itself in its settings — regardless of organisation type, without a request to the hub team. From then on it writes posts and events straight into locali; they appear on its page, in the matching spaces and in the town calendar.

The rules

locali is not an advertising platform. The guiding question for every entry: does it tell about local life — or does it actively sell? Occasions, anniversaries, changed opening hours and job openings are local life. Prices, discounts, vouchers and buy CTAs are selling. Clubs are held to the same standards as businesses.

Frequently asked questions

Question Answer
Do I have to sign in? No. The page, the events and the calendar subscriptions are public.
Does locali sort by popularity? No. Purely by time.
Can I comment on entries? Not on these public pages — there are no public comments.
What does "über [address]" mean? The entry arrived through the organisation's own feed; the link leads to the original.
An event is listed twice. It should not be: identical events (title, start, location) are merged. If the titles differ, locali does not recognise them as the same event.
A post is listed twice. That can happen: posts are not merged. If an organisation delivers the same announcement through its own feed and also writes it directly in locali, it appears twice.
