Customise the appearance¶
At a glance. You decide how locali looks for you: light or dark mode (or automatic, following your system), a high contrast mode for better readability, and eight accent colours to choose from. The setting applies per device and can be changed at any time.
You find everything under Settings → Appearance (via your Profile).

Light, dark or automatic¶
For the colour scheme you have four options:
| Option | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Light | Always light mode. |
| Dark | Always dark mode. |
| System | Automatically follows your device's setting (day/night). Default. |
| High contrast | Increased contrast for better readability. |
Eight accent colours¶
The accent colour shapes buttons, links and highlights. Eight palettes are available, each working in both light and dark mode:
Violet (default), Teal, Ocean blue, Forest green, Terracotta, Bordeaux, Raspberry and Petrol.
Simply pick a colour by clicking — the interface switches over instantly. The selection can also be operated entirely by keyboard.
High contrast takes precedence
While High contrast is active, the accent colour selection is disabled — the contrast mode deliberately overrides the accent colour so that readability is preserved. A short note explains this right at the selection.
Applies per device¶
Your choice of colour scheme and accent colour is stored locally on the device — it is not synchronised between your devices. So you can have different settings on your phone and on your laptop.
Instance branding
Operators can give the hub their own logo. A custom, freely chosen instance accent colour is not currently supported — you choose the eight palettes yourself.
